Find Music

Instructions

Think about the film scene you want to set to music. What emotions do you want to express through the music and associate with the visual content of the scene?

Select the appropriate emoticons by clicking on them. Some of the icons may seem surprisingly new to you. A textual guide, which you can turn on or off, will help you here. Feel free to move away from the terms later and let your intuition guide you in making your selection. You'll see just how inspiring the results can be.

You can select as many emoticons as you like, but we recommend using no more than four.

Then click on [ADJUST].

Using a 'mixing desk' interface, you can now determine the 'weighting' of your selected musical emotions.

Click on [FIND MUSIC]. Here you'll see the musical recommendations generated based on your emotional settings. The top results are the best fit. But do try out the lower results as well. You'll be surprised how well they might suit your film scene.

Via [FILTER], you can select specific instruments, vocals or different tempos. Your selection will change accordingly. You can also filter individual catalogues by publishers or creators!

In the menu bar at the top left, you'll find a [small arrow]. This takes you directly behind the emoticons, allowing you to filter by a specific genre or instrument, for example, if that's more important to you than the music's emotional tone.

Feel free to download WAV files of the tracks to try them out, and/or search for further recommendations using a customised configuration. If you wish to licence tracks, add them to your shopping basket and configure the rights you require in the basket. Submit the licence request. Provided you have not requested commercial use, you can licence/purchase the rights entirely online. For premium tracks and commercial use, we will get back to you shortly.
