Find Music

The Idea: Face Your Music.

A music archive that uses a curated selection of iconic tracks to guide users towards film music recommendations.

Talking about music isn't easy for many people. In such cases, the only thing that helps is the principle of 'show, don't tell'. Communication usually takes place via reference tracks.

Filmmakers are expected to know what music is missing from a film scene. However, this is often not the case.

Instead, so-called echo chambers emerge – highly standardised and repetitive results – which are perceived as very unsatisfactory.

The solution: Face Your Music.

Filmmakers think visually. They communicate visually. With the ikonphon, musical needs are therefore controlled via a visual interface.

We use the latest scientific research findings from the field of musical emotion research as the basis for our categorisation and have adapted these to the specific needs of filmmakers.

To narrow down the scope of interpretation of musical emotions, we use a neural network (AI) based on acoustic feature analysis, which enables users to employ an intuitive visual language and collectively refine it.

The visual selection process resembles a game in which results emerge very quickly – results that are as surprising as they are convincing – and can be adapted immediately to meet specific needs.
